This Should Be On Your 2020 Priority List

mobile-phone-791644_1920If you are like me, your priority list gets mangled as soon as you walk in your office door each day. What you want and need to accomplish often gets pushed aside by the ever expanding needs of everyone else in your office. Some very important improvements seem to get permanently banished several lines deep in your 'to do' list, never to see the light of day.

One item I would encourage you to fight to keep at the top of your list is patient communication. Specifically, the most effective means of communicating with your patients available today (with the possible exception of face to face). And that is texting. If you haven't yet added text messaging to your patient communication capabilities, you should.

Here are some reasons why,

"Statistics have shown that 98% of all text messages are opened, and 95% of text messages are opened and responded to within 3 minutes of being delivered. These figures speak for themselves, especially in comparison to emails, which only have a 20% open rate.

Additionally, 9 out of 10 consumers would like to communicate with businesses through text message, whether this be through sending alerts, reminders, back and forth communication, etc." (Source: https://www.smscomparison.com/mass-text-messaging/2019-growth/)

Think about it, how long does it take you to check a text message when you receive one? How many times have you been reminded of something important through a text?

Using text messaging to remind your patients of appointments, the need to schedule new tests, pay their bills, and other timely prompts is more effective than any other type of communication. If you have not yet added the capability to send text messages to your patients, it should be high on your 2020 list. And you should fight to keep it there.

Easy Pay has the ability to text reminders to patients with secure links to pay their bills. We are presently seeing 51% of these reminders result in a completed payment. Much more effective than paper invoices!

If you are sending eStatements to your patients, text reminders are an effective way to get them to notice and pay them. Call us today to discuss how we can help you increase timely patient payments. 866-927-9344
