Please and Thank You: Simple Words That Boost Patient Satisfaction

Please ...Have you seen the recent stories about Chick-Fil-A? Not the ones that bash them for their stands on hot button issues. But the ones that report they are America’s favorite fast food restaurant? And the ones that talk about how they train their employees?

It may sound old-fashioned, but it still works. Politeness is still popular. Chick-Fil-A trains their employees to say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. Seems like simple kindergarten stuff that everyone should already know, but emphasizing it, making it a habit, pays off from a personal and business perspective.

How does your staff do with please, thank you, and general politeness? What would your patients’ say?

And while we are at it - may I take a moment to say, ‘Thank You’ from Easy Pay! Those of you who trust us to reduce your outstanding patient receivables and those who simply read and learn from our blogs - we appreciate you! And we are happy to serve you.

If the mention of these polite customer appreciate habits gives you pause, it may be time to reinforce them with your staff. Take some time in the next few days to remind everyone how important patients are to them and how to treat them. Just a few short words from you to encourage politeness may just be the nudge someone needs to help make someone else’s day.

And as an additional Thank You, feel free to download our Collecting Every Patient Dollar eguide. We hope it helps! Thanks again from Easy Pay!
