I’m at HIMSS 2019 in Orlando this week and I’m overwhelmed. The showcase of vendors alone is nearly a mile long - under roof. It’s a carnival of ideas, solutions, and promises. There’s enough signage here to make New York and Tokyo look like a roadside farmer’s market in comparison.
I can’t begin to count the number of encounters. It seems to increase with every step. Smiles from eager salespeople, probing eyes squinting at badges to figure out if I’m a potential customer, and outreached hands filled with messages of hope for my every business challenge greet me if I don't keep my head down. And then there’s the sessions and keynotes…I won’t even begin on those.
This absolute tornado of activity has reminded me of how incredibly difficult it is to be a physician or a healthcare manager. I admire anyone who throws their hat into the healthcare ring. You are amazing people. In my mind, you are charged with corralling a thousand cats, all of which have been set on fire and placed in a room full of popping balloons.
It makes me want to be better for you, personally and professionally. To help you solve the massive amounts of challenges you face every day. I can’t solve but a tiny fraction of the issues you face but I am connected to many folks that can lend a hand.
So with that, I invite you to connect with me, or anyone else at Easy Pay and ask for help. Even if it doesn’t concern our line of business. We will do our best to connect you with someone who has a solution. We have thousands of doctors and managers who wrestle with similar issues and we can connect you to those who are willing to lend a hand.
Thanks for all you do to serve your patients and provide a great experience as they heal. You could never be thanked enough for your efforts and your compassion. I truly admire you.
